Standard dyno kit includes: 9" toroidal-flow water-brake absorber, electronic torque-arm transducer, engine load control, DYNOmite handheld data-acquisition computer with backlit LCD and keypad interface option, AC power supply, stainless-braided hoses, puller bolt, data wiring harness, and protective carrying case. DYNOmite data-acquisition electronics eliminate paper and pencil data logging. The DYNOmite computer records true Hp, torque, RPM, elapsed time, etc. (at up to 1,000 readings per second) while automatically applying inertia compensation and SAE correction factors for air temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity. No running an engine to death getting a full test curve. Results display on the DYNOmite’s LCD and can be printed to an optional portable ASCII printer. The handheld computer can even do double-duty as a highly advanced on-sled racing data recorder.
DYNO-MAX™ Softwareoption creates a full engine dynamometer lab console on your PC. Features include: real-time trace graph display, EGT bar graph, inertia compensation, adjustable visual limit warnings with voice alarms, pushbutton controls, a full array of operator-configurable analog and digital gauge ranges, color graphing, test-report database, Smart Record™ trigger points, plus much more. Integrate your own PC using DYNO-MAX with appropriate automated electronic load and throttle control hardware options for keyboard dyno control. Without special programming, operators can easily create and execute complex race simulations and engine test cycles.
Patented torque transducer technology is immune to temperature changes and the length of the moment-arm (anti-rotation point). So, it requires no correction for jackshaft center distances. Pushbutton (semi-automatic) zeroing of the torque offset calibration is also standard.
Reads TRUE crankshaft Hp using precision full-bridge (temperature-compensated) strain gauges to directly measure actual torque, instead of estimating from hydraulic pressure or inertial acceleration. Only crankshaft dynamometers isolate Hp from the inconsistencies of belt efficiency, track tension, windage, etc. to provide the repeatable data serious developers need to compare against the OEM’s and other engine builders’ results.

Automated load control simplifies steadying the peaky snowmobile engines, it reacts faster to sudden torque changes than most humans can. Our optional electronic-servo load valve replaces the standard manual-load control. Once installed you use buttons to select the test RPM, or sweep rate, and then let the computer do the rest of the work.
Affordable upgrades including: thermostatically controlled cooling tower, jackshaft RPM/MPH sensors, fuel-flow and airflow turbines, AFR modules (4-strokes), clutch efficiency dyno conversion, weather Station, EGT (exhaust- gas temperature) thermocouples, pressure transducers, thermistors, and both servo load and throttle control options.
