The only dyno line that expands with your needs. Start today with one of our low-cost bellhousing-mount water-brake models. Later add a docking station, expand to increase data channels, upgrade software, etc. – without wasting your original investment. Excluding absorber-type (see below) most of your important feature decisions may be revisited, even years later. We manufacturer all major components in house – saving you third-party markups of competitors.

One configuration does not suit all! The above paragraph notwithstanding, one unique specification will lock you in: absorber type. It limits the usable response/speed/power (class) of any engine dyno.

Rebuilder Class absorber-type limitations:

Absorber mounted on SAE diesel bellhousing. Bellhousing-mount absobers (single or dual stator water brakes) are suitable for quick-'n-dirty engine testing. They offer the lowest cost for entry-level testing – even for many larger engines. However, if your primary usage will be higher-volume or more-serious engine bulding, consider upgrading to a Performance Class system, with their more sophisticated docking-station/rolling-cart configuration.



Absorber on engine-stand dyno frame. Bellhousing-mount Siammese-rotor absobers (dual-stator water brakes) are suitable for casual diesel-engine testing. They offer the lowest cost for entry-level testing – even for many moderate-power motors. However, if your primary usage will be higher-volume or more-serious engine bulding, consider upgrading to a Performance Class system, with their more sophisticated docking-station/rolling-cart configuration.

With our multi-stator absorber options, to over 15,000 ft-lbs and/or Hp capacities, not too many engines are too large for a DYNOmite Dynamometer!
Engine test stand options include everything from fixed bases (at left), standalone mobile-frame type with SAE bell-housing torque tube-mounted absorber, or docking cart/station design (shown above). All configurations feature rugged steel frames (some with heavy-duty locking casters for easy in-shop mobility). Mounting options include using either heavy-duty fixed engine plates or adjustable leveling jack screws.
“1500” heavy-duty toroid 26”; water-brake absorber with diesel torque-tube mount (shown next to 7”; absorber for comparison). Also available in Siamese-rotor, “3000,” and super-capacity (10,000 ft-lb) tandem configurations.
Toroidal-flow diesel absorbers (19" or 26") with heat-treated stainless shafts, couple to engine either via, the docking-station’s telescoping dampened driveshaft or bellhousing mount’s with heavy-duty cushioned drive plate. Pre-machined mounting plates fit popular bell-housing patterns (may be custom drilled). Full-bridge strain-gauge load cell (or bi-directional torque tube) transducer is environmentally-sealed and temperature compensated. U-joints are heat treated – to survive the transient loads of diesel testing.

Its advanced toroidal-flow design loads larger engines and delivers much better controllability than any older vane designs. *Approximate; continuous capacities depend on selected absorber and test speed. Air-cooled absorber loads are rotor temperature dependent.
